Kitsap Family Learning Center offers tutoring in all subjects for grades K-8. Each student is assessed to determine where the struggle begins, and an individual program is then created around the student's unique learning styles, and needs and level of learning. It is never too early or too late to give your child a step up in their learning! $35/Hour
Intro to Homeschooling
This is perfect for parents who are exploring the idea of homeschooling, but don't know where to start. What are the laws? How do you qualify? What are the costs, options, classes, etc? I will walk you through the laws, understanding your child's stage of development and how that relates to education, and review the various methods and options for schooling. This is a one-time consultation tailored to your questions and child's education needs. 1.5 hrs, $50.
Homeschool Assistance: Kindergarten-12th Grade
KFLC operates as a Private School Extension Program of Family Academy, a licensed and accredited private school. The elementary and high school programs are for homeschool families who would like assistance from a certified teacher in creating a meaningful and effective education for their children. Each student will have a unique program created for his or her individual learning styles and needs. Accredited classes offered through Academy Northwest; non-accredited options available for all grades. Here at KFLC we don't charge a registration fee. However, If you would like to enroll early for the following school year (before August), we will require a $100 deposit to reserve your time-slot and/or class space. This is non-refundable, but will be applied towards your first month's tuition. If you're joining us during the school year, the first month's tuition is due at the time of enrollment.

Your first consultaton is free, but there is a $75 one-time fee for transcript evaluation and creation of a 4-year plan; waived when you pay first month’s tuition. This fee is due at the time of the consultation. The first consultation usually takes about 1.5-2 hrs. You should plan on bringing an unofficial transcript from previous years, sample student work in writing, and a few core curriculum pieces that you plan on using (if you have them).
Program planning is offered to help parents who are uncertain of where to start, where to go, or how to get there! I can help you select materials, plan a course, determine a scope and sequence for main subjects, and guide you through the Washington State Homeschool Laws. $90 for an hour and a half session. Longer sessions at additional rates.
End of Year Testing and Assessments
KFLC offers end of year CAT testing for all students looking to meet the state's requirements. Choose from timed and un-timed options in a comfortable, low stress environment; and fast results.
